Llanfaes Community  Centre Management Committee
Meeting held on October 8th 03.

Present:-

1.0  It was discussed and agreed  that Jackie Nightingale  would be
 requested  to hand over her key to the locker in the kitchen as soon as possible

1.1  RO to chase up Iorwerth Rowlands re putting the minutes onto
the Beaumaris Community  website  under the Llanfaes section. JJ

1.2  GJ stated that any land purchased  should be under the Community Centre Management for protection.

1.3  JJ advised that letter to purchase land  from County Council is in hand and advice given re rates and lease.

1.4  RP needed to know about  insurance for the Youth Club. JJ would ring Pearl to enquire. JJ

1.5   Insurance donation from the Town Council to be  split between the Play Area and the centre. Community Centre owes £300 to the Play area. GJ reported  that there was  £1106.61 in the Community centre account.

1.6   JJ reported on the insurance and external events such as the fireworks.

2.0    The dilapidation report was  done and further  discussion held on any changes or refurbishment to the  centre including any grants available. JJ to get information on grants. JJ.

2.1   It was agreed to provide extra storage by creating a room. Storage area  to be built - KP & RP action.   KJ/RP

2.2    Both windows had been fixed and boarded by RP & GJ.

3.0   KJ reported that the 29/5/03 was looking promising for the concert in the Castle.

3.1   Fashion show was in hand to be held  on the 26/11/03 in Beaumaris school with just children aged 4-16, tickets will be £3 to include refreshments. To advertise in the Beaumaris newsletter and Mail, posters and leaflets.

3.2    JJ still to organise Treasure Hunt.

3.3   Committee agreed to run a Christmas Raffle, £50 top prize, £25 second prize, to purchase 1000 tickets, need to obtain prices for tickets, book table in the hospital to sell. Draw to be held at  the children's Christmas  party on the  14/12/03. BL will go to Beaumaris to ask for prizes, the others will also try to get some. BL

3.4   SB will get  hot dogs and burgers donated for bonfire night. SB

4.0   There had been a donation from  MS for £70 - letter of thanks. JJ

4.1   Flyers for Halloween and Bonfire night, JJ to action.
