This Centre is primarily for the benefit of those between the ages of 11 and 30 resident in the south-east of Anglesey and whenever possible will be made available, by arrangement, to other organisations, for the use of all ages . It will be open for six days a week. hopefully it may be possible to revive a Sunday school facility.
Aims and objectives.
1.
To retain and extend the use of this fine listed building for the use of the youth of the area - as it has been for at least the last sixty years. It is an important asset for youth development in the ensuing years2. The aims and objectives of our organisation are set out in our constitution . They are designed to provide for the welfare of the young people and to give them informal opportunities for learning, training and finding jobs by providing for them instructors/lecturers to encourage them in developing latent skills and interests they may have. Specialists on many issues will be invited to address and discuss with them any problems they are encountering e.g. jobs, health, education, CV preparation, etc. - this to include - introduction to computers, internet browsing, word-processing, database availability, to extend their knowledge. An "Accreditation of Learning" element to record progress and to encourage continuance of effort. Additionally there will be provision for Lifelong learning.
An imaginative program of sporting and fitness activities, linked through visits and competition with other clubs in Anglesey and Gwynedd.
An improved youth/early adulthood service to stimulate involvement in community life and to eliminate the feeling of social exclusion.
Suitable club accommodation, anti-crime initiatives, arts, cultural recreation all of which will be of value in reducing disaffection and social exclusion.
Advice and guidance as appropriate, complete equity of provision and a positive "open-door" policy. The critical issue of sustainability in every sector of the program is constantly under review.
Outdoor Pursuits
- swimming, canoeing, rock-climbing, sailing. A sailing centre is available nearby at the Menai Centre in Portdinorwic and also the Royal Anglesey Yacht Club where they have established dinghy courses, primarily aimed at the young people of the area. Fishing - we are in an ideal geographical position to form fishing teams and there is access to both sea and freshwater fishing. There are two boats sailing out of Beaumaris on fishing trips and both owners have agreed they are prepared to offer attractive discounts to assist us. The local Cricket Club is prepared to provide instruction in cricket and the opportunity of becoming a members of one of the teams.
Indoor

Preparation of CVs/Interview skills/communications skills/form filling/jobs and benefits/family budgeting/employment and training advice/personal development courses/self-esteem etc and in general, every possible area of support for young people.
